When the owner of Historic Barrel + Bottle asked me to help design her wedding I was thrilled. Carole is an amazing business woman who is creative and driven and has created an amazing brand with Historic Brewing. Having worked with her and her family on all three of their tasting rooms, I have gotten to know her well and understand her fun and eclectic style, so of course there were all kinds of fun touches and surprises through out her day.
Caitlin & Chris wanted a casual & intimate wedding surrounded by family and a few close friends. The ceremony was on the mountain and their reception was held in a quiet courtyard. Dinner was Latin fusion served family style. The entire day was captured beautifully by Mitch & Denise Photography.
Anastacia and John wanted an elegant and sophisticated destination wedding in Sedona. Anastacia works in PR and marketing for Marimekko and had much of her day planned but needed a little help pulling it all together from New York. Anastacia and John wanted to incorporate their love of sailing, passion for food and dancing into their day. John had to have an emergency appendectomy the night before they were supposed to fly to Phoenix but was a trooper and still managed to pull off a special surprise. He and his groomsmen sabered bottles of Veuve Clicquot after the ceremony. It was an amazing evening.
Kendall and Nick grew up in Flagstaff so Forest Highlands was the perfect venue for their elegant Fall wedding. They were married in the Meadows Club House at Forest Highlands Golf Club, enjoyed cocktail hour on the lawn and ate and danced in a beautiful white tent. After the reception concluded, guests moved back into the Meadows Clubhouse for more dancing and a late night snack bar. The entire day was captured by the amazingly talented Cameron + Kelly Studios.
When my friends Maraka and Paul wanted me to help design and execute their intimate wedding and their reception I was honored. The canyon is a magical place and it is where Maraka and Paul fell in love. They invited fifty of their closet friends and family to join them for a beautiful ceremony at Shoshone Point on the South rim of the Grand Canyon. They would host a reception two days later for 175 of their family in friends in the courtyard at 1899 Bar & Grill.
Megan, Wes and their families were a joy to work with. Megan knew that she wanted a day that was filled with family, friends and fun. Her dream was a pretty and romantic open air wedding with lots of texture and flirty floral.
Vanessa and Matt were married in an intimate winter ceremony in December and now wanted to celebrate their union with 150 of closest friends and family. Their backyard in their North Scottsdale home was the perfect venue. It was black tie affair with a Mexican theme. Guests were greeted by a beer burro in a sombrero and champagne while mariachis were playing in the back ground.
Vanessa and Matt both love the outdoors and wanted to join their families together in an intimate winter wedding in the pines of Northern Arizona. Vanessa is an amazing photographer, Bliss Boutique Photography and Matt is part of the KNIX morning show, Ben and Matt In the Morning, so they needed a little help planning and styling their winter affair. Snow was a must and luckily we delivered.
Whitney & Richard met and fell in love at the Arizona Snowbowl so it only seemed fitting that they get married there. The lodge is very rustic and Whitney really wanted the space to be more sophisticated with accents of white and gold. We draped the entire lodge in white organza and added white and gold lanterns over the dance floor.
Marissa and NIck wanted a vintage and rustic wedding in Flagstaff. Foxboro Ranch was the perfect venue with it's beautiful views and rustic lodge. Leah & Tyler wanted an elegant outdoor event with a vintage flare . The bride & groom met while attending Northern Arizona University, so it only seemed fitting they get married at a ranch outside of Flagstaff.
Caitlin is from Wisconsin and Eric is from Arizona so it only seemed fitting to have their wedding and reception at Foxboro Ranch as the lodge sits on a lake in the forest. They got married on the bridge and enjoyed cocktail hour outside and then went inside the lodge to enjoy dinner and dessert. The beautiful day was captured by Courtney Sargent Photography.

Shawnacy & Clay wanted a down home true Texas BBQ reception with close family and friends. They were on a really tight budget so we had to get creative. Clay is from Texas and Shawnacy is a native Arizonian so it only seemed fitting to have a rustic and casaual reception with a western theme.
This couple really defined what a marriage is, love, commitment and the joining of two families. This was the second marriage for both of them and each have children. Travis has a daughter Maya and son Dalton – she was the Maid of Honor and he the Best Man and Shannon’s daughter Ellie who was one of the flower girls.
This country fair wedding I designed for Kate & Norm a few years ago is still one of my favorites. It was a perfect October day to get married. The couple who were both hotshot firefighters met on the job, so it was only appropriate they have their ceremony and reception at the Hotshot Ranch with it’s picturesque views of the San Francisco Peaks.
