Vintage Rooftop Wedding | Featured On Style Me Pretty

This couple really defined what a marriage is, love, commitment and the joining of two families.  This was the second marriage for both of them and each have children.  Travis has a daughter  Maya and son Dalton – she was the Maid of Honor and he the Best Man and Shannon’s daughter Ellie who was one of the  flower girls.  They incorporated a sand ceremony into the wedding ceremony - each member of this darling family took a bottle of sand and poured it into one vase.  The ceremony was held in a circle under a sea of pale pink, orange and ivory balloons and paper poms.  Shannon made a beautiful bride!  All of the incredible moments and details from the day were captured by the truly talented Tina and Kelvin of Melissa Jill Photography.

I wish I could take credit for all of these fabulous details, but the bride hired me as day of coordinator and stylist.  Shannon is an amazing graphic artist for Bath and Body Works and made all of these wonderful details herself.  Travis and Shannon were married at The Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale and she really wanted to stay true to the vintage feel of the hotel.   The reception was on the rooftop under sails, bistro lights and paper poms.   She handmade all of the paper chargers and each had the meal choice of the guest in the middle.  This was a small affair,  so Shannon really wanted each guest to feel special.  Their place cards were 1950’s patterns of either a male in leisure suit or a female in a dress or a little boy or girl. They were adorable.  All of the gorgeous flowers  from  the amazing Fiori Floral were in mismatched bottles, carafes and blue mason jars.  At the end of the evening after all of the great food, drink and dancing, the guests lit and set off wish lanterns into the Phoenix sky.  My favorite moment is the photo captured below of Travis and kissing Shannon on the cheek while they were lighting the lantern.  It was magical!
