Indian Fusion Wedding Ceremony

Day 2 of Amanda and Kunal’s wedding day extravaganza began with a traditional Hindu ceremony in the morning. We brought in a beautiful white bharat horse adorned with floral for the groom to ride in on.   The family, and bridal party all wore traditional garb which was bright and colorful.  Family and friends surrounded the groom on the horse and played drums and chanted as they escorted him to the ceremony site.  The energy, the colors &  the music were a perfect way to start the festivities.

The ceremony site was on a paved patio. We used a clear top tent & filled it with sofas, daybeds, chairs, hightop tables with stools and coffee & side tables. A draped mandap decorated with lanterns & bright floral was created by Inspired Environments. A sofa for the bride & groom, rugs, stools for family to sit on under the mandap set the stage for the traditional Hindu ceremony. The bride was walked down the aisle by her brother dressed in a beautiful red, orange & gold sari & was adorned with family jewels. A scotch bar for the groom's father & friends was set up on the patio next to the tent. As a Hindu ceremony is quite long, guests are free to move around and get refreshments. The non traditional seating was ideal for this.

As the 2 hour ceremony concluded, guests were ushered inside to enjoy a traditional Indian feast. We used round tables & chirvari chairs with an elegant textured maroon, silver and coral linens that once again replicated henna as well as some solid silver and maroon to break up the pattern. The amazing day was captured by Sameer Soorma Photography & Videography.
