Industrial Restaurant Design - Historic Barrel + Bottle House

I was so excited when the owners of Historic Brewing asked me to help design their new tasting room in downtown Flagstaff.  They wanted an urban and industrial feel for the space.

The space was partially renovated so it was really a blank canvas.  We added a brick backdrop for the keg handles, that was whitewashed and their logo was hand painted on it.  Old printing press numbers identify each of the beers.  The bar is a mixture of steel, old barn wood and Ann Sacks penny round tiles.  I really wanted to suspend a table from the ceiling, Reitz Restoration  and Steve Smithers helped me design an amazing  steel and barn wood table.  An old pulley and gas cap made a unique, industrial light fixture.  Old palate wood was attached vertically and horizontally on the entry wall to add texture.  We thrifted and found lots of items to upcycle, an old locker was repurposed to hold merchandise, vintage metal bread pans now house silverware.  The art was inspired by a great portrait the brewery used for an ad.  Drawings of the owners and brewers make a personalized art wall.
