Casual Western Wedding - featured in Arizona Bride Magazine
Shawnacy & Clay wanted a down home true Texas BBQ reception with close family and friends. They were on a really tight budget so we had to get creative. Clay is from Texas and Shawnacy is a native Arizonian so it only seemed fitting to have a rustic and casaual reception with a western theme. His uncle who owns a cattle ranch drove a huge BBQ from North Texas and his family grilled steaks and chicken. The guests enjoyed dinner outside and then moved into a rustic dance hall and enjoyed live music. The entire day was captured by the ever so talented Cameron + Kelly Studios.

We mixed family style and long tables out in a field. Vintage lace and burlap served as runners and overlays over the white table linens. Mismatched china and mason jars were used for placesettings and the centerpieces were kept simple with wild flowers in vintage bottles. The groom is an avid outdoorsman, so we wanted to make sure we added a few details for him and Shawnacy wanted a little bling. We acheived this on the head table where we added a patterned burlap overlay, with candlesticks, mercury glass, blue mason jars, and antlers. Three chandliers hung over the table as well as a vintage bench for the happy couple with hand tooled leather Mr. & Mrs. signs made by a friend. Table markers where made from leather swatches and placecards were displayed on a vintage bed frame. It was a spectacular day!
